A Different Loyalty

1960’s, a spy story. The locations were Lebanon, England, Russia and the USA. The focus was put on finding rich atmospheres for all these locations.  Lebanon was a good challenge with the arab world.

I oriented the sound design on the spy sounds because there were many possibilities to play with communication sounds, zaps, frequency swaps, crackling, buzzing and tones.  Along with Stéphane Larivière, we built a language with these electronic sounds and used it to punch transitions to give it a little extra edge of precision and originality, which gave us elements for transitions and other creative punctuations.
